Travala.com Partners with Binance Card to Offer 10% Crypto Cashback Rewards on Hotel Bookings.
The partnership aims to encourage global crypto travel with cashback rewards and zero FX and ATM fees.
Travala.com, the world’s leading cryptocurrency-friendly online travel agency, has partnered with Binance Card—a debit card launched by the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance—to offer exclusive crypto cashback rewards on hotel bookings when booked with Binance Card.
This launch is the first step of a global programme, beginning with 30+ European Economic Area (EEA) countries before expanding to the rest of the world in all locations that Binance Card is available. Cardholders who reside within the EEA (except residents of The Netherlands and Germany, as well as Binance Refugee Crypto Card holders) can now receive 10% cashback in AVA, the native cryptocurrency of Travala.com, when making their first hotel booking on Travala.com using the Binance Card until 31 December 2023.
Binance Card launched back in 2020 and has since amassed millions of users with its spend-and-earn model. The card, which operates on the Visa network, enables users to spend over 15 cryptocurrencies—including BTC, ETH, BUSD and Binance’s native BNB token—at more than 60 million online and physical stores around the world that accept Visa.
The ultimate crypto travel card, with free ATM withdrawals and no foreign exchange fees or annual fees, the Binance Card is ideal for travelling. Usable as both a physical and virtual card that can be accessed via the Binance mobile app, cardholders can also receive up to 8% cashback in BNB via Binance when transacting domestically or internationally.
“There are tens of millions of crypto holders, but not all of them spend crypto,” said Juan Otero, CEO of Travala.com . “Innovations like the Binance Card make it simple and convenient for travellers to book travel with crypto and spend it when travelling, which will help grow the number of crypto transactions worldwide.”
The partnership between the two companies will continue to evolve beyond expansion into other regions, with plans for Binance Card users to access exclusive luxury travel packages curated by Travala.com.
“The biggest challenge for crypto users when travelling is converting crypto to fiat and dealing with high foreign exchange fees, both of which the Binance Card solves,” said Jonathan Lim, Global Head of Binance Card & Pay. “We’re excited that this offer, where people are rewarded for booking hotels on Travala.com, could encourage more people to experience how easy it is to use Binance Card for travelling, from booking the hotel to easily being able to spend cryptocurrencies on the trip.”
Cardholders can join the Smart Program to benefit from even more travel perks after their first transaction, including crypto cashbacks of up to 10% on every booking and entry into once-in-a-lifetime travel giveaways with the Travel Tiger NFT.
First-time Travala.com users in the EEA can get the 10% cashback in AVA when they register for a Travala.com account and make their first booking using their Binance Card.
Eligible EEA residents can sign up for the Binance Card by logging in to their Binance account and following the registration prompts. For full terms and conditions, please see the Binance Announcement.
